Hello, friends, and welcome to Figuring Forward. My name is Lucy Blair Pettersson. I am a fledgling writer and content creator with a passionate interest in mental health, wellbeing and personal growth. I’m also a sufferer of anxiety, depression, burnout and low self-esteem.
I want to turn those struggles into a positive, and start figuring forward in life. As I navigate my mental health issues, I’m constantly learning how to supercharge my health, happiness and personal development. And now, I want to share my experiences, learnings and knowledge with others. If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my darkest days, it’s that helping each other is the way forward. We all experience similar struggles, and we really are stronger together.
That’s why I created Figuring Forward. I want it to be a space to explore ideas, inspiration and information on how we can all be healthier, happier and more fulfilled. My mission is to create a like-minded community to nurture conversations, learn together, and find mutual support. I’ll be writing and curating weekly explorations into what’s helping me on my journey. My hope is that it will help you to navigate yours, too.
In addition to Figuring Forward, I’m a passionate advocate for mental health in my day job. I’m lucky enough to work in the Artist & Label Marketing team at Spotify UK, helping to connect independent artists with audiences. I’m also a proud ambassador for Spotify’s internal mental health programme, which works to improve and support employees’ mental and emotional wellbeing on a global scale.
